So it was that the Planet became the home of the exiles from Orefall. By the time they had broken the first ground—a monument to the fallen Miro—they could look up to the sky and see the misshapen lump that had housed the previous generations. They did not see the long arm of the Great Rock, but they understood the results of its touch: on its path out of the solar system, it grabbed Orefall with its gravity and flung the planetoid toward the sun. The former High Priestess and a handful of her clergy stayed behind; later tales from the Planet would say the last people on Orefall rode into flames on their hollow prayers.
The settlers followed Choron's material guidance, realizing his vision of a towering city standing proud on the skin of their God. For spiritual guidance, the people turned to Nara, who dissolved the rank of High Priestess, and whom they instead named the first Earth Mother of the Planet.
